The methods of instruction for MLE are first taught in Teaching the Emerging Adolescent in the Middle Level (TED 5250).  In this class various approaches (i.e. interdisciplinary and group learning) and philosophies are discussed. The approaches are then supplemented by the two methods courses chosen by the candidate and reinforced during the field experiences.
