My primary research interests are in the areas of labor economics and economic analysis of law. I have published articles on promotion and turnover, sports economics, the economics of the legal profession, alternative dispute resolution, organ transplantation, medical malpractice, and capital punishment. My most recent research concerns the practice boundaries between physicians and advanced practice nurses.
