Task and Roles
The
year is 1975 and the president has called a special commission to study
the
Vietnam War in order to better understand why the United States, in
following the Truman
Doctrine, was unable to prevent the North Vietnamese and thier Viet
Cong allies from conquering South Vietnam. He has created a
special
Commission and asked you and your group to be a part of it. Each
group
will research an aspect of the Vietnam War and create and deliver a
report and
presentation explaining their findings. The broad theme of
each
role will
deal with the failure of the United States in preventing the fall of
South
Vietnam and the lessons the United States learned during thier time in
Vietnam.
