BESA The Black Educators Student Association (BESA) is an organization that
has been established to increase the number of minority students graduating
from Wayne State University in the field of education. BESA is designed to prepare education
students to become dedicated educators who are aware of the rewards and
challenges associated with instructing the unique and varied educational
needs of today’s minority youth. __________________________________________________ |

GOALS The goals of BESA include, but are not
limited to: 1. recruiting minority students into the field of Education, 2. increasing the number of minority students
graduating from Wayne State in Education, 3. providing academic tutoring and counseling for
students, 4. enhancing the interest in and the knowledge of
education fields and career opportunities, 5. fostering professional development and networking with the community innovators in the field of urban education. |
