Home town: Windsor, Ontario

Education: BA, B. Ed., University of Windsor, M.Ed., University of Windsor, PhD, University of South Carolina.

Taught public school for 20 years, K-8 and special education, language arts consultant for 3 years.

WSU teaching experience 1992- present: 1992-1995 Part-time; 1995-Associate Professor; Tenured-1999; Assistant Dean-2005.

Came to WSU to write and conduct research in the areas of Reading, language and literature.  Prior to becoming the Assistant Dean, he was Program Coordinator for Special Education.

As Assistant Dean of the Teacher Education Division he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the unit, supervision of support staff, recruitment and hiring of faculty, development of projects in collaboration with the schools, assisting in developing grants and contracts for external funding, evaluation of faculty and staff, and handling of student problems.
