Wayne State Writing Project

The Wayne State Writing Project is a member of the National Writing Project, a network of local sites located in universities across the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each site is dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of writing in the nation’s classrooms. Begun in 1973 as the Bay Area Writing Project at the University of California at Berkeley, the National Writing Project has grown into a national network of projects reaching approximately 83,000 teachers a year.
